According to legend, Linceus was a skilled hunter and one of the Argonauts, a group of heroes who navigated together to seek the Golden Fleece. Linceus was also described as an explorer, who discovered many islands and unknown lands, and founded many cities. Linceus was also associated with wisdom and knowledge, as he was described as an expert in many subjects, including geography, zoology, and botany. Linceus was depicted as a strong young man, with armor and a bow, accompanied by his beloved Procris, a hunting goddess. His figure is often associated with strength and determination.
